S. R. Khan Orthy is a researcher in the field of peace and conflict studies with over 3 years of experience.
S. R. Khan Orthy is a researcher in the field of peace and conflict studies with over 3 years of experience. She provided research support to different national and international organizations. She is currently working for the 60 Decibles, USA as a Research assistant and responsible for LEAN data collection and survey questionnaire development. She also worked in the Dept. of Peace and Conflict Studies, Dhaka University from June 2019-Sep 2019. She was also a research fellow at a project funded by Action Aid Bangladesh and a USAID funded project called “SOBAI VINNO EKSATHE ONONYO” in 2019. There she facilitated youth meetings on prevention on violent extremism. In 2017, she worked in the South Asian Youth Research Initiative for Development (SAYRID) as a Junior research fellow. She earned her Masters of Social Science (MSS) From the University of Dhaka. She is interested in developing a career that focuses on academia and research while connecting with different social organizations. She is recently accepted as a Joint Master Program in Peace (JMP) and Conflict student at the University of Manitoba.
