Géhdian Began
Géhdian began his journey with CRRIC as a volunteer while studying Criminal Justice & Political Science at the University of Winnipeg. His area of interest and study began in law enforcement, but later expanded to include studying the social vulnerabilities of youths against radical groups online. After graduating in 2023, he began working for CRRIC and has been actively using his analytical skills to research and gain insight into radicalization and extremism among youths. Beyond his professional responsibilities, Géhdian serves his community as a volunteer Crisis Counselor.

Research and Implementation Coordinator
- Act as the primary French/English translator for CRRIC’s website and subsidiary projects, ensuring accurate and appropriate translation of content
- Collaborate with CRRIC and stakeholders to develop strategies and initiatives for studying radicalization and extremism
- Assist in the development of CRRIC’s online tools for studying and presenting findings on radicalization and extremism
- Coordinate and facilitate communication between the directors of CRRIC and web developers to ensure the proper implementation of research ideas and concepts
- Facilitate meetings with stakeholders, including law enforcement agencies, to discuss research findings, collaborate on initiatives, and exchange insights
- Assist in the dissemination of research findings through reports, presentations, and other mediums
- Stay updated on emerging trends, technological advancements, and relevant research in the field of radicalization and extremism, particularly as they relate to social isolation and the luring of youth into online groups
